Sabrevois, Quebec. He came to Canada in 1838. He married in 1847 a
daughter of Mr. Jas. McGillivray, of Sabrevois. He claimed that his
father was a near relation of a Marquis of Breadalbane, and had
served in the army under Prince Charles Edward in 1745. –
