gun-shot wound in his back. A verdict of murder is returned on May 5,
1882 against his father-in-law Peter Weis, his wife Barbara Miller,
his brother-in-law John Weis, and his sister-in-law Philapana Weis –

Born in Dumfries, Scotland – Died in June, 1879 in Pickering,
Ontario at an advanced age – Came to Canada nearly forty years
ago. The Millers, father and sons have been singularly fortunate in
their ventures as importers and breeders of improved stock. –
